File or Pay your Arts Tax

 

On November 6, 2012, Portland voters passed the Arts Education and Access Income Tax (Arts Tax). This new income tax will fund Portland school teachers and art focused non-profit organizations in Portland.

Each Portland resident, age 18 and older, must file. Your tax is $35 tax unless:


 

File or Pay your City/County Business Tax 

  • Register a New Business
  • File a Combined Tax Return
  • File an Exemption Request
  • Pay a Bill from the License & Tax Division
  • Request an Extension to File
  • Make a Quarterly Estimated Payment 

Payments forms accepted include checking accounts (electronic payments) and Credit/Debit cards (convenience fee applies).

 

Payment is not required to file an application, tax return or extension request.

Important Tax Announcement: In order to be granted an exemption, you must file the Annual Exemption Request form and supporting tax documents. If you are exempt, there is no payment due. Any advice that "you do not need to file if you are exempt" is incorrect and should be disregarded.
