Communications Training Officers

The Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) has numerous Communications Training Officers (CTOs) that partner with new trainees during the on-the-job phase of the telecommunicator training program. Their responsibilities include coaching during the 1000+ hour training process, daily documentation of trainee progress, lesson plan development, and in-house academy instruction.  BOEC CTOs hold an Association of Public Communication Officials (APCO) CTO Training Program Certification.
